I am willing to bet against that, but not with money. Like I bet once with Milo, if I am wrong, I will post a message admitting it, and giving you the satisfaction of making a good call. All you have to do is the same, if your prediction ends up being wrong. Although I believe AMD will post a >$40 million loss, my place in this bet would be that they will post any amount of loss. I will not accept on anything less then these terms.
Personally, I think you would be foolish to bet that they will be black this quarter. The reason is because of their forecast, which includes their own educated estimates. If they were to post a profit this quarter, it would mean that the market is much better than they even expected, or that Intel has literally handed them a good percentage of market share, and I don't believe either to be the case. So far, 18 analysts believe they will post at least a $0.22 EPS loss, and I am more inclined to go with that estimation (not because I 100% trust the analysts, but because we are all following similar fundamentals).
But if you insist on taking up the bet, be my guest. When Q4 results are posted, and AMD has a loss, I expect to see a message from you. If AMD posts a profit, you can expect a message from me. I'll tell you up front, though: from my perspective, it looks like I'm holding a straight flush.
