Niceguy, Re: "Seems I've touched a nerve..."

Not at all. On the contrary, I know you've been hurt in your investments before, so I figured I might try and talk some sense to you. Not that I expected you to see it my way, but I figured that you'd understand that it's time for you to start thinking about your own investments, rather than the investments of Paul Engle.

I see, though, that you're still too involved in your own virtual reality to recognize things for what they are. I'll only reiterate one last time that Intel may or may not have fallen farther than AMD in the last year (depending on which measurement you use to measure this "fall"), but they are still in a far better position than AMD, any way you look at it. Many other people have told you the same, too.

Regarding the Athlon XP, yes it's a good product right now, even with respect to the Pentium 4, but I'm surprised that you don't have the foresight to see that this will change as soon as the .13u generations come out for both processors. P4 is strong and healthy in the 3rd quarter, and gaining momentum. You're putting a lot of faith in AMD beating Intel, simply on the basis of benchmarked performance between Palomino and Willamette.
