If bin Laden were to confess his sins and beg forgiveness, it would be given to him by God. He would still be answerable to the laws of humankind. As he offended members of some 68 different countries and of all three of the major religious groups on earth, there is little possibility he will live long enough to sit through judgment on the crimes he committed, even if he sits in a courtroom until he is a very old man.
