McDATA Announces New Human Resources Vice President
Former StorageTek Vice President to Drive Resource Management for McDATA's Strategic Growth
BROOMFIELD, Colo., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- McDATA® Corporation (Nasdaq: MCDTA - news, MCDT - news), the worldwide leader in open storage networking solutions, today announced that Karen Niparko has been named Vice President of Human Resources. Niparko, who most recently was an executive consultant for Corporate Solutions, Inc., a human resources/business operations consulting firm, will be responsible for all human resources operations at McDATA. Prior to Corporate Solutions, Niparko served as the chief administrative officer and corporate vice president for StorageTek. At StorageTek, Niparko was responsible for all human resources, health and safety and facilities/real estate functions on a worldwide basis.

Niparko holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences from the University of Michigan and a master of business administration degree in human resources management from the University of Colorado. She has also completed the Leadership for Senior Executives Program from Harvard University.
