July 9 "Acting on its mission to provide enhanced performance in the 32 bit SPARCworkstation market, ROSS Microcomputer, a division of Ross Technology, today announced immediate availability of its first workstation and server system products. The high performance hyperSTATION 30, and the entry level hyperSTATION 20 provide multiprocessing capability and enhance the features and perfomance over existing 32 bit SPARC systems. Both systems are compatible with the SunOS and Solaris operating systems and maintain full SPARC compatibility while increasing system reliability."
