Scary stuff but not at all surprising. If you look at the cult movement in the US, its membership as well comes from largely from the middle class. Folks looking for a purpose in life. Same with the terrorists.
Back in 1998 Palestinians were giving Israeli soldiers flowers. The disappointment that this didnt lead to a better situation for them caused some to become suicide terrorists. We have to thank the idiots who killed Rabin and those who earlier killed Sadat, and the lack of leadership and courage from Arafat to accept the US peace initiative, and now Sharon who plays the terrorists hand for them. I have no hope for that area other than a US/NATO imposed and guaranteed peace. And even that probably would not work. mike
