G, I agree. I was thinking of a situation where we are ready to move and political leadership here gets cold feet based on polling data et al. Also if it takes another couple of weeks of bombing to make the ground assault more successful so be it as well. I just feel that there will be less negative reaction if we are in combat rather than as being seen as hi-tech USA reigning "terror" from the air. This is a legacy of Vietnam carpet bombing which killed so many innocents in a war that i deemed to be so unnecessary. mike
