If Bush is as bad as you think he is, you should be glad he's not overly involved in the planning and execution of the war. At least he built a cabinet that most of us can trust in. I'm not a Bush fan either, but I do respect him for apparently knowing his own limits and deferring to experienced decision and policymakers.

As for the airline security issue, I believe Bush's desire to have to have public management of private employees is a good idea. Do we need another large Federal bureaucracy? Look at the FAA, look at the FBI, CIA, the Pentagon, and just about every other government institution..........they're so crippled with their own administrative policies, procedures, and overstaffing that they can't even walk without tripping over themselves, and have almost lost sight of their original missions..

As regards the Republican tax incentive plan, it makes me want to puke! It genuinely PISSES ME OFF that they could be so arrogant as to even propose such an outrageous subsidies to large businesses WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED. First the airlines, now all the other dinosaurs in American business that can't manage on their own! To hand them billions of $ at the same time they're laying off Americans by the thousandswould be a second, cruel slap to the face of those who lost their jobs. It seems stupid, insensitive, and almost criminal, to even suggest such a plan! Got to hand it to the GOP......they sure know how to provide the Dems with high-profile ammo for use in the next elections.

Regards,

Knip
