You have got to be kidding!? In the 50's you only had about 30 minutes of news per day. You didn't have eyes and ears in each country. We get instant coverage now, thanks to the electronic explosion.

Why do you think that the news coverage has increased from 30 minutes per day, to several hours per day on local channels, and 24 hours on cable or sattelite? Because it is in much public demand, and they are doing a good job.

Shows that don't do a good job, fall off the air. How many shows are cancelled each year?

There is obviously a lot more presented to the public than 10 minutes of war news.

What is your suggestion? If you became president of one of the news services, what would be the first changes that you would you make? Do you feel that you could keep the news service competitive?
