Alomex and all:

Oracle's Ellison was interviewed on Charlie Rose last night. To paraphrase he said that Jobs, the man, basically convinced him (Ellison) not to buy Apple. This was the reason. Price was not a concern. Jobs said that turning around Apple was going to be a tough four year job, and, that Ellison had enough to worry about being the CEO of the number two software company and his own (Ellison's) personal life to worry about taking on the task.

It sounds like to me Jobs is in for the long haul. Who knows, maybe he wants the credit (all to himself) of a turn around after they way he was forced out before. He can say, "I told you so." NEXT OS might just do the trick. Apple was his baby and it's sick. If you were the father what are you going to do?
