New Brunswick Scientific Opens New
Biotech Sales Office in Heart of Beijing
Edison, New Jersey, October 25, 2001 -- New Brunswick Scientific Co., Inc.'s (NBS) subsidiary
operation in China recently opened a new biotech equipment sales office in the prestigious center of
Beijing, just one block away from the Forbidden City and infamous Tiannamin Square. Centrally
located within the heart of the city, the office on the 6th floor of the Tian An building in the Dong Cheng
District is easily accessible to Beijing's main railway station and to underground transportation.
NBS was one of the first US companies to do business in China, and has marketed high-quality
shakers, fermentors and cell culture bioreactors there since the late 1970s. This equipment is used in
research and production of new vaccines, gene therapies and other biologics that aid in human and
animal health-care.
The Beijing office, which serves government and education institutions, as well as pharmaceutical and
biotech facilities throughout Northern China, is one of several sales and service centers the Company
maintains within the country. NBS China headquarters is located in Shanghai, with an additional sales
& service facility in Shenzhen. World headquarters for the Company is located in Edison, New Jersey,
USA, with five subsidiary offices in Europe, as well as a worldwide network of distributors that sell and
