What are you talking about? In 2000, there were two unarguable truths.

1) Intel had the best quarters in their history
2) AMD had the best quarters in their history

Given AMD's strength, both financially and in their product line, Intel did fabulously well. The largest difference between last year and this year is the falling economy. AMD hasn't changed much.

Therefore, it's much more logical to assume that the economy has hurt Intel far more than AMD. Do you have a problem with this assumption?
