[ Siemen's 100K lines] It has not been announced where Siemen's will be deploying 100K lines in 1998. I am assuming that they will be deploying in '98 given that they have a rumored contract w/AMTX for this number of lines. I guess they could just keep the overture 820's or whatever they're buying in a warehouse, but I doubt it. I am getting more 'on the fence' about ADSL with time. Not sure that most people won't eventually want symmetric (HDSL, HDSL-2 ) solutions and that these will grow earlier and faster than ADSL. Am concerned about AMTX only in ADSL. ORCTF/PAIR/WSTL all in HDSL. AWRE is the only other pure ADSL player, but they have lots of other activities in data compression, etc. Stay in touch. j.
