Stan, it sounds like you've looked into the maw. I toured the Constellation last year, and it was truly awesome. Those ships are so dang big they don't look like they could move an inch. Congratulations on your service.
I was available before, during, and after Nam, but my imperfect hearing washed me out of the Marines and the Army on the same day. I do, however, have an abiding respect for those who served, no matter how well or poorly. Like you, they stood the risk of being sucked into an engine cowling just walking to lunch. All for our freedom.
I too am a life member of the NRA. Most people, including my mother, buy the Schumer/Clinton view of the NRA, but the truth is we are better voters, go to church more often, give more to charity, and are more likely to have served in the armed forces than the general population. |
