I don't think they know what's being threatened. Ashcroft sounded really tired. I think all the false alarms, hoaxes and mass hysteria are wearing them out.
Yesterday I finally went to sight see at the Pentagon and take photos. They've cut away quite a bit so the hole looks larger than it did. I didn't know where to park so I drove around for a while, then saw that the gate was open at a parking lot near Arlington Cemetery so drove in there and was standing on the running boards taking pictures when we got buzzed by a huge Army helicopter that was patrolling the Pentagon. As soon as I saw it coming towards us I waved at the helicopter, and started to get back in the car so it left.
We then noticed that a lot of people had parked up a hill and were walking towards the Pentagon. Turned out they just wanted to look, too. So we did the same and I took some more photos, using my digital camera. They came out pretty good. Anyone who wants one, PM me your email address and I will email you one or two. A couple of the best ones are high density so they take up a lot of space, take a long time to open, but have a lot of detail. Specify high density, jpeg, or both.
Later the helicopter came back and flew right over us very close. I couldn't take the picture because the disk was full, but Ben said the guys in the helicopter waved at us.
My mother was telling me she made up a suitcase to keep by the door to grab so she could leave the house fast with everything she needed.
A friend told me that if any kind of attack happens, it's better just to stay inside, because you're safer inside.
I heard on the radio that you should discuss contingency plans with your family - if you can't meet back together at home, what do you do? If you can't call each other, who do you call?
I am going to send information on our life insurance policies and a copy of my will to my sisters. |
