"But in pure self-defense, after repeated efforts of conciliation had utterly failed, circumstances dragged him into the battlefield. But the prophet of Islam changed the whole strategy of the battlefield...

The battles referred to here are between Mecca and Medina and between different warring Arab tribes.. Mohammed was 40 years old when Qu'ran was revealed.. That is 610.. I will not go here into details but basically until 632 all of what happened in terms of development of Islam was between Mecca and Medina, and different warring Arab tribes in Arabia.. Obviously there were Jews and Christians in the region but small in number and preaching of Islam was mainly to Arabs who were pagans, who believed in many gods.

Prophet Mohammed died in 632 so basically what you claim here in terms of conquests of Persia (battles in 637,642) and in fact other regions such as Mesopotamia, Syria, and Palestine, Egypt (642) must be attributed to Rulers who came after him.

In any case, if you are truly interested you have to pick up few good books.. As for my self, not really into discussing this in piece meal.. Seems like a lot of people who post either have made up their minds one way or the other.. I love the Ten Commandments but watching Moses as played by Mr. Heston does not make me an expert on Jewish faith (Although I love the line "Let my people go") Same is true of Christianity.. We all know or think we know but it is superficial.. Just scratching the surface IMHO..
