After looking over NBSC's DGI. One would have to wonder why NBSC hasn't found a funding partner given its small size. DGI is majority owned, and fully funded by New Brunswick Scientific Co., Inc. I'm assuming the minority is owned by its founder and research team? There should be plenty of big drug company connections for funding, and R & D sharing partnerships. This in return for a smaller interest by NBSC or other beneficial interests. In a previous post, I saw TUCK dreaming mention of a spin-off. Now I see why.

P.S. I answered my own question. But why not by a big drug company?
On June 15, 2001, the Company's investment in DGI BioTechnologies, Inc. (DGI) was reduced from 84% to 47% as a result of the previously announced $5 million investment in DGI by an institutional investor. As a result, NBS is no longer required to, and will not record losses from its share of DGI's operations beyond the carrying value of its investment ($410,000 at June 30, 2001) since it has no further obligation to fund the DGI operations.
