Your writing "I did it because he did it" taken to a new level -"I did it because he would have done it", created the impression that you had changed the subject to a singular, which singular I figured must refer to the candidate. You change the subject so often, subject-changing being your only tool in argument, you not having logic or facts to rely on, that I went with the flow.

But fine, let's go with Gore or Bush 'supporters.' (How cutely naive of you to think they don't operate in cooperation with the candidates, btw!)

Re-write:

"Because"? No causation between what Bush [insert 'supporters' here] would have done in the exact same situation and what Gore [insert 'supporters' here] is doing in his situation was in any way implied. You imagined that. You imagine many things. An agenda-driven imagination is suspect, and not a pretty thing.
