Hi Ike,

First and foremost thanks for providing a Pakistani perspective on the state of affairs in that part of the world as that view is underrepresented in what I read. I think Pakistan has a stability and a rich history that should be nurtured to keep it on the side of righteousness (especially as much of the impetus for going to the side of darkness seems to have come from the CIA ISI collaboration to fight the Russians in Afghanistan).

I am much less optimistic that the goals of the ISI are presently aligned with the goals of Pakistan and the USA. . Especially for intelligence organizations that operate in relative secrecy I think that changes in policy occur gradually rather than immediately.
