I've been back and fourth between NY and Ca about 6 times in the last few months on family matters but I finally got an hour an a half of fishin in on a beautiful no kill section of the Neversink on a warm an windy day in mid October.....I suspect that no where in the country does nature put on sucha show as the Catskills in the middle of October...I caught a 14" hooked jaw brownie in all his spawning colors but I hardly noticed his beauty as the shimmering sugars covering the hills in gold and the Neversink herself reflecting the afternoon sun demanded all my attention......For an hour and a half the world was at peace .....for me at least....In these times everyone needs sucha respite.
