Consumer confidence report was a disaster IMO. Since Aug. the numbers have collapsed. Its odd to see stocks going up because all the data says the economy is going south fast. It is really starting to look as if all the stimulus efforts have failed...just like they did in Japan.

Only bright spot is energy, where it looks as if natural gas demand has returned. There is much less gas going into storage than there was back in May, and prices have rebounded some.
