My opinion is that Africa and India were better off as British colonies than independent.

Why dont you go further and say that ......

the native americans were better off (didnt those idiots understand then instead of fighting us);

that the blacks who were brought here as slaves were better off;

that the afghanis (specially kids whose mothers and fathers have been killed in this bombibg) will be better off;

and so on and so forth........

So you think the british were kind and helpful to India and Africa?

Do you know how many unarmed women and children they murdered at Jalianwala bagh? Do you know the commander who ordered the canons to be shot at these women and children was severely punished (he was transferred - how shameful is that for a british soldier. too bad they didnt believe in suicides otherwise he surely would have committed suicide)??

Do you know they used the people as slave labor?

do you know they robbed and looted their empire? the queen still has the best diamond in the world, Kohinoor.
