<<BTW, lets hope that while Musharaff is meeting Bush next week, he doesn't lose his job. >
If above was meant to be light hearted, I thought to enlighten you with this business that merits far more serious analysis than a fleeting comment like above, I hope you will like the facts as under. Your ability to believe that my country is a ‘banana republic’ run by low level ISI operatives surprises me no bound. But ces’t le vie. Let me tell you in brief what this guy is doing for you.
What US took 6 months to prepare in Gulf in 1990 (although far bigger preparation was required) this banana republic was able to provide US in 3 weeks from planning to execution stage, the airports, the logistics, the air corridors and the territorial waters, the intelligence officers seconded to US special groups to take them in and out, if they could betray Haq they could have betrayed 50 of the groups working behind enemy lines with Pushtuns ISI officers seconded to them for language and skills of the terrain. US four battle carrier groups are in our territorial waters not in Uzbekistan, that station is only eyewash for the Islamic world.
Now this is no mean feat and right now some more is being asked, so that is US dependency on Pakistan. Also for me it is nice to know that most Americans are grateful not funny. I like fun but in Polo room not in business of war it is far more serious.
I really feel that if Pakistan cannot be thanked, as we are bunch of scoundrels carrying the burden of sin for the entire wrong doing on earth, people should be sensitive to treat our nation stakes little more seriously. This is not a game of ball, it is a game of -alls and no one will be a winner if Musharraf is overthrown by some unseen hand on his trip to Washington, one thing will happen that US will have to take out Pakistan, that I will tell you if it is an unseen hand and a coup-detat to change course not a conspiracy personally against him will have very major consequences for our region.
You will be surprised that he will not lose his job even if he runs the government from Washington for three months, he was in the air when he was fired by the PM, and his army refused to listen to the PM until he returned to send the PM home, if he lose his job in a coup, US whole strategy is in jeopardy. I hope and pray that present strategy stays on course; I can see what happens when countries implode, malnutrition, massive hunger and mass train of refugees with no homes is very ugly site. As always best regards for you and yours.. |
