COMP daily range projections for today:

high 1677 - low 1636

14-day support is 1642 area. Yesterday's low was a bounce off the 14-day (one hour bar) chart. The 14 day chart shows a weaker-than-average retracement from the high on the 26th, suggesting to me a bounce off the projected low today (1636) and a retracement back to the 1700 area, then a move back below 1600.

My 14-day sell signal (called on the 26th) has a bottom target of 1642. I have no buy signal formed yet, which suggests a strategy of taking all or partial profit on any position trade shorts from the 26th, but I have no signal right at the moment for entering a long position trade other than the *suspected* bounce up off the *projected* low today. A gap open above today's projected high would signal a move up to around 1722.

Any hard and fast move below 1636 today should be viewed as a spot to cover a position short and *perhaps* go long if you are aggressive for a short term trade in anticipation of a move back to 1700 - with a sensible stop if the market turns south. This current down move could end up below 1500, so caution is advised on initiating long trades.

1654 is my guesstimate for the close if it is a down day, and 1688 if it is an up day, but I am not very good at guessing the close on the COMP
