The point of the story was that U.S. Special Forces didn't withdraw because the mission was accomplished as reported in the corporate controlled U.S. media, they withdrew because they were in danger of being slaughtered. The mission was in fact a failure and not the glorious success portrayed on happy talk news. The American people deserve to know the truth. Why hide the truth from the American public when the Taliban knows full well what happened? Is the military propaganda war directed against the enemy or the American public? This is the same mistake the military command made in Vietnam, lying to the public to cover up their failures and then blaming those few reporters who told the truth for causing the loss of the war. You'll be surprised how fast public opinion on the war shifts when people begin to perceive that they're being lied to by the Generals and the President.
