so far I know only one Boomer taking inheritance
good friend in Boston area
mother died after stroke, father doing fine
wife's mother died two years ago of lung cancer
wife's father died last year from freak anaesthesia incident

the money came in three waves
wife's father was a lifer at DuPont
I have watched what happened to the money, lots of it
money has gone into three places, nothing with stocks

1. addition to their house that I helped in construction
nothing fancy, big added 400 sqft
I didnt do much, helped install windows, exterior shingle

2. money set aside for two children approaching college
both teenagers, and I am godfather to the 13yr girl

3. Ford Cobra for dad
it screams

he says openly to me "I hate stocks, but might put some in mutual funds eventually"

he taught me to ski in early 1980's
great guy, conservative approach to life
I think mutual funds will be the main force with WW2 vet money that is inherited
but I doubt the majority will find way to stocks
