Yes it was the FBI that did such a smash-up good job at Ruby Ridge and Waco, who wouldn't trust these guys? Let's give them complete state powers, that's the ticket! The old joke used to be that if you were too stupid to practice as an attorney you could always get a job with the FBI. The FBI has always been better at harassing political dissidents than carrying out serious investigations, I mean their top counter-intelligence agent was passing secrets to the Russians for well over a decade. That's about as bad as it gets.
