Amy, re : "There's a startup that says they can reduce production or packaging costs for cell chips by 40% or 60%" Good point. I am sure Intel is finding ways to save on packaging too. Combining this with cost cutting due to .13 and 300mm should have resulted in much more than 25% overall savings Intel forecasted. Hopefully they are being conservative. Maui.
