no they didn't. not at all. Intel only said that they could find ways of enhancing their processes without SOI.

Intel only referred to amd because nearly all their Q&A questions referred in some way to amd. Barrett and Otellini actually found it funny (I saw them giggle every time a new question was asked) that people wanted to know more about amd than they did about Intel's fundamentals. Craig, Paul, and others had no choice but to respond that they had more confidence in their own products. The short answer to most of the questions would probably have just been, "Duh."
