Let's not forget that INTS and Microtec are already shipping
embedded Web servers. Both companies also have demoed Java
solutions.

BTW, embedded Web browsers are a real head scratcher. The
simple question is who is going to buy them? People today clearly
use PCs, Macs, and Unix workstations to browse the Web.
Spyglass is signing up the RTOS companies and chip
companies to ship the old Mosaic Web browser. But what kind
of devices are going to need a Web browser? Also, aren't
Web browsers kind of big? My guess is that a Web browser
needs at least 4 megabytes of memory (flash + RAM) in order
to show the simpliest web page. 4 megabytes of memory
doesn't sound very embedded to me.
