Many homes/property are under insured. Your only insured for xxx dollars plainly shown on the policy cover sheet. I've never had a policy that was open ended as to replacement costs of structures. If your exceed the amount writen into your policy for structure replacement your on your own.
Though I have had to more than once increase my liability coverage.
