PAGE SEVEN: THEME RIDES

The entertainment industry simulator business is experiencing rapid growth. The market is continuously demanding more realistic and exciting special effects and greater sophistication. The industry is very fragmented and difficult to measure, but in 1995, there were approximately 3,443 installed simulators worldwide, comprising theater locations, theme parks, entertainment centers and traveling exhibits.

The success of simulator rides at such major attractions such as the CN Tower, Disney World, Busch Gardens and Universal City has substantially increased sales of simulators worldwide and the demand for unique concepts and content. As of late 1993 there were 60 large scale simulators in operation and the growth of these large scale rides has been approximately doubling ever since.

R. Hall Train has developed the concept, creative design, story boards and script for the production of a six minute, dinosaur theme, simulator ride film. The production will combine live action and dimensional animation with simulator motion control at an estimated cost of $2.3 million. Rental costs for products of this quality, for tier 1 (large scale) locations are $250,000 per annum. There are over 100 locations of this calibre and this number is expanding with the growth in Location Based Entertainment. Rental costs for tier 2 locations are approximately $5,000 per annum and there are over 3,000 worldwide. Preliminary discussions with Doron Inc., the largest simulator ride manufacturer with 30 locations worldwide, have identified the opportunity to pre-sell the production to Doron customers. Additionally, HTMP has had preliminary discussions with financiers in Chicago to pre-sell the simulator to include a 500 seat restaurant, three dinosaur simulator rides and extensive merchandising facilities. HTMP will contribute the simulator ride on an exclusive right basis and participate in revenues for the whole project.
