Well considering the opportunity, I think a modicum of enthusiasm might be warranted. According to the September issue of FiberSystems International, Leong Keng Thai, deputy chief executive of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore said, "Quoting a recent study by the International Telecommunications Union (ITC), he pointed out that Asia-Pacific will account for nearly half of the world market for telecommunications services and products by 2010. Projections also suggest that over the same timeframe more than 50% of the world's mobile phone users will reside in the area."
