Yes 5-7% does not sound like a lot, and it would have been nicer if it was closer to the 30% that they will be getting from 300mm, but that does improve margins by 5-7%, and allows further going for the jugular type price cuts, that AMD would not be able to match without significant further pain.

I suspect Intel will keep prices low, in order to deplerte AMD R&D capital.
