Announces Award for Weapon Simulators in Support of the U.S. Army SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 31, 2001--Firearms Training Systems, Inc. (OTC: FATS - news) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide the U.S. Army with over 400 additional weapon simulators in continued support of the U.S. Army Simulation and Training Command's (STRICOM) EST 2000 Program.
This contract award is valued at approximately $2.1 Million. Delivery will begin in 2002.
FATS' high fidelity weapon simulators provide unmatched realism for marksmanship, tactical and decision-making training. Weapon simulators included in this contract are the Standard Service Rifle (5.56mm), M203 grenade launcher (40mm), M9 semiautomatic pistol (9mm), M2 machine gun (.50 caliber), M4 carbine rifle, M240B machine gun and the MK19 machine gun (40mm). These and other FATS weapon simulators are in use by over 50 countries worldwide.

Announces U.S. Air Force Reserves Contract Award SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2001--Firearms Training Systems, Inc. (OTC: FATS - news) announced today the award of a contract reflecting the U.S. Air Force Reserves' continued expansion of their simulation program through the acquisition of additional FATS systems to support the training needs of their security forces.
This most recent award, valued at approximately $1 Million, will complement those systems previously fielded to the Air Force Reserves. The delivery of simulation systems, weapons and courseware will begin in December 2001.
The U.S. Air Force's active and reserve components began fielding FATS simulation systems for their security force training over 13 years ago. This most recent order will expand the availability of simulation training to additional locations while providing state-of-the-art advancements over their previously fielded systems. Today, units of the U.S. Air Force ground combat arms training community train with FATS systems in the Continental U.S., in Europe and in Asia.
