cheif:you are the one that has consistently represented that CLX is a superior timing tool

if the CLX can't avoid a 17% drawdown, or a 5% one for that matter, then maybe you shouldn't be making exaggerated claims of its effectiveness. period. end of story

if you had not made those claims, it would not be an issue to ask you why the CLX failed - everyone has systems, some work better than others

the fact that you have failed to address the weaknesses
of CLX throughout the month of August, right from
DOW 10,500, a drawdown of 8% before the WTC disaster, explains it all, doesn't it?

just pretend it did not happen - don't give a critique of the poor signals so that everyone on this thread might learn and try to avoid such drawdowns in the future

you have long term experience with CLX - why don't you take
a guess at it - has it happened in the past, is it better at trending versus non-trending markets - whatever

I see from your website your last Timer Digest award was 1999 - maybe it's a case of just when you figure out the key to the stockmarket, someone changes the lock

maybe decimalization has changed the character of the
figures, as it has with many other indicators, such as trin

p.s. throwing stones at me when it's YOUR failure and your representations at issue isn't going to fool anyone
