Problem we face today is uncertaintity, the markets DO NOT like uncertaintity. It was all ready in a down draft prior to 911, but wether or not you think we are at war, war has been engaged upon us. War brings the utmost of uncertaintity, FEAR.
Only folks in this country living today that have experienced War on our Land, against our Land are 60 years of age, and they were infants in 1941. So Maybe 70 to 80 year old people can actually remember who were back then 10 to 20 years old.
I don't know about you, but all those I've talked to in the last 6 weeks, and I deal with 100's of them say things after a phone conversation like;
"take care dear"
"I love you sweetie"
"be good"
"be safe"
"thanks honey"
"be good"
Every conversation ends with a voice of kindness and kindship from 70 years of age or older I deal with daily.
When I was in High School I worked Co-Op for a Pharmacy, I was part-time Soda Jerk, and part-time get to drive the Boss's Ford Bronco around and deliver perscriptions to shut-ins. I'll never forget knocking on this door in December with a perscription in my hand, it was freezing cold and the wind was cutting right through me....I just wanted off this Old Farts portch and back into that warm Ford Bronco, ringing the bell and knocking on the door. It seemed forever for this old 90+ year old Lady to come to the door that day, and when she did; I stammered something like I have your perscription Mamm. She said I know, I seen you standing out there, it's just that I'm so old it takes me awhile to get around...BTW do you know what day it is?
Sure Mamm it's Thursday.
Son, she says this is December 7th.
Yea, Thursday.
Come inside she says, it's not just Thrusday...you need to know what I know, I got a $1.60 an hour for that and didn't get fired. The best 3 dollars and 20 cents anybody ever invested in me. Thanks Boss.
You Old Folks guys, tell your story, youth needs to hear it, cause they may face it. I know a lot of you guys have never talked about WWII, let the youth know, pass it on...before you go.
