You want to talk valuations? Here's Intel and its 40 uber-large-cap brethren. Who'd have thought Intel would ever sport a higher forward p/e than Cisco (or any other top 40 company!)?
You feel "safe" with a cyclical manufacturer trading at 4 times cycle peak sales? On a somewhat related note, I don't feel any "safer" with AMD for the next year or so either.
