"Relentlessly impressed by Clinton's compassionate poses, daring behavior and glib intellectualism, the many journalists with a soft spot for this rogue missed the point. Bill Clinton was a small man for a small time,
a panderer and pollster and not a leader, a man who was not up to the challenge of a major war against terrorism."
--Brent Bozell

Did Brent hit the nail on the head or what?

The Clinton Administration merely prevented terrorist attacks on US soil, sic the millenium bombing at LA airport.

The Bush Administration reacts to terrorist attacks on US soil and maybe prevents them with the terrorist alerts....doesn't really know for sure that the did ... but they could have. Good enough for conservatives.

No question that Bush has the better strategy here.

Three cheers for conservatives ... hip, hip, hooray.

Hey did you catch the Ari Fleischer White House Brief.
washingtonpost.com

FLEISCHER: Well, it's interesting, because even with all that's going on in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan and the military planning that the president's been involved as well as the domestic meetings of the home front council on the anthrax attacks, the president has also been keeping a busy agenda on other domestic issues.

Last week, he met for one hour to discuss Social Security and how best to reform the Social Security system. A commission the president appointed will make its recommendation to the president in December for how best to reform the system.

Wow! a Whole hour! Very impressive Ari. I know that I feel a lot more confident that Bush is spending his time on the important business of the American people.....How much time did Bush spend to throw the ceremonial baseball at opening day?

Extra credit: How many times did Ari dodge the question....

QUESTION: And just lastly, does he still pledge to push this issue [Social Security reform] during the luncheon here next year?
