GST, 3 new figures out. Personal income unchanged, PCE down 1.8. Well, I guess consumers are being prudent for once, perhaps paying down debt. Initial claims for unemployment 499k, 9k or so below consensus. Prior period was revised downward BTW. Any real surprises here? Does this tell us anything we didn't already know? Seven more clues coming by 10:00 EST tomorrow. Bob
