Sikhs habitually carry their Kirpans (religious daggars) in their turbans.

I don't know where you got that information but I have never heard of Sikhs doing that ... I may be wrong. I come from a Sikh family and nobody I know has ever done that. I would think it would be quite acceptable to ask Sikhs to leave their Kirpans at home when travelling on an airplane. I think they would be understanding of that request under the current circumstances. If there are Sikhs carrying Kirpans in their turbans ... that's definitely a naughty thing to do ... especially these days.
