Sikhs don't carry religious daggars any more. Some of my more orthodox Sikhs actually carry a substitute piece of iron that is rounded and every small (size of a pen). It has no pointed edges and looks more like a pen.

Even they never attempt to conceal it. I don't think they keep it in their turbans...though do some times use it to adjust their turbans.

In essence I think the Sikhs have adjusted a lot to fit into America.

p.s: Ooops Darren and Lola....It seems like I have been going out of my league :-) I am not Sikh, though my wife is Punjabi and thus I do go to the guru dewaras here :-)..... Obviously you guys know a lot about this then I do :-)
