When people want to buy this stock, going against the crowd is likely going to be unprofitable. Wow, that's a bold statement. With that single statement, you've just discredited Contrarian investment strategies. If you're right, you could get a Nobel Prize for that! On the other hand, you just might be wrong. When people want to buy a stock, its price is high. If your investment strategy is something along the lines of "Buy Low, Sell High," you might want to avoid buying while a price is high. Dave
