TP since you still seem to believe the SC elected GWB I would like to point out where I think the dems got off track with their zeal for the presidency and see what your position is on it. Not trying to be smart alleckey or anything, but this is where I think they went over the edge.

1) The election was within the range where it needed to be re-counted (within 1/2% I think). Everyone agrees.

2) An automatic recount was done based on the situation above, and GWB was still ahead. Everyone agrees.

That is where I thought it would (and should) end.

Then there was a condition brought up by the dems that required hand counting of certain districts. I understand the law to have been that this was only required if there was a machine malfunction or fraud, and there was neither.

What is the dem postion on this? What specifically gave them the "right" to go further? Many on the left have said that minds can't be changed, etc. Maybe mine can. What gave the dems legal precedent to go furhter? My view is that the SC had to act to prevent the FL SC from CHANGING the rules after the election at this juncture and jeopardizing the integrity of the process.
