Products get delayed, both chipsets and cpus. This happens to AMD and Intel. I don't think nforce's tardyness should reflect badly on AMD. It's a shame that AMD's DDR support has been overpromised and (often) underdelivered ever since the platform was introduced. Nonetheless, Intel has its own equally ridiculous (legal, managerial) reasons why their DDR solution is so late. Even later than nforce actually.
