Dual purpose.

Jennings wanted to plant the idea that booing Bush would be "normal". Heck, he flat out said it. He must be upset by the President's popularity.

Jennings wanted to alert Yankee fans to the fact that Bush doesn't like the Yankees. Making booing Bush that much more acceptable and likely. Jennings must be upset by the booing of Hillary and wanted equivalent treatment.

The case for bias is complete by the following fact: Jennings would never make the same observations about a Dem.
