As far as I know, Intel recalled the CC820 motherboards, and offered to replace them with VC820 motherboards with 128MB of RDRAM. Intel also offered to reimburse motherboard manufacturers for any products that they built with MTH chips in them. If you think that other "4th party" OEMs and dealers were left without this option, can you please include the links for proof?

Like I said, some manufacturers incorrectly keyed their 3.3V AGP cards so that they could fit in a 1.5V AGP slot. They failed to follow the spec, so their cards are at fault.

If the motherboard manufacturer did not follow the spec, it was their fault. Are you sure that this is what happened?
