3rd party motherboard suppliers, who made motherboards based on the broken 820/MTH and computers based on this combo were not part of the recall, and as a results, there are people out there with a broken Intel based systems who wish they bought a reliable system instead.

Like I said, some manufacturers incorrectly keyed their 3.3V AGP cards so that they could fit in a 1.5V AGP slot. They failed to follow the spec, so their cards are at fault.
Didn't you say people want "reliability"? Intel is providing fingerpointing. Intel could have implemented a reliable system that handles the situation (which is not uncommon) gracefully. I would call that reliability. Self-destruction of a system is anything but reliability.
If the motherboard manufacturer did not follow the spec, it was their fault. Are you sure that this is what happened?

I responded to this flame-bait by saying that AMD actually points out potential instabilities, and steers customres in a direction where they will not encounter them.
