Come now, jttmab, this is beneath you. These people knowingly and deliberately aided, abetted, and sheltered men who conceived, planned, and executed an attack the killed thousands of unarmed, unsuspecting American civilians (plus many people from many other nations- -including fellow Muslims.)
And they expect mercy from us? Why?
The US claims that warehouse was being used to supply the Taliban- -which makes its contents military stores and a legitimate target. Do you know otherwise? "Humanitarian neutrality" does not cover feeding the enemy army.
It's a bit like ... we bomb the hell out of them from 15,000 feet and tell the Northern Alliance .... you can beat 'em ... go for it. And we call the Taliban cowards for hiding in civilian populations. We're courageous from 15,000 ft.... they're cowards. If I gave you my true opinion of those words, I doubt we would be on speaking terms afterwards.
May I point out the US does in fact have troops on the ground in Afghanistan? Did you really expect we wouldn't? Do you honestly believe your fellow countrymen in uniform are cowards?
And if those are your sentiments, perhaps you should stay in Europe. Or better, Afghanistan. You certainly should leave Britain. They and Canada are our best and truest friends. They will stick with us even if you don't. |
