Joe, your employer may allow you to change allocation once per month, but you should check to see when the new allocation actually takes effect. While allowing you to change any time, they may not actually MAKE the accounting change in your investment account until, e.g., the last business day of the month, or the 10th of the following month, or some such. Also make sure that you change exactly what you wish to change: the periodic contribution from your paycheck or the transfer of your already invested funds from one vehicle to something different - or both. The term: "allocation" here can be tricky.
